Messi officially crowned GOAL50, closing 2023 full of success

Lionel Messi defeated Erling Haaland, Jude Bellingham, Kylian Mbappe and Kevin de Bruyne to win the GOAL50 after being voted by global fans.

The 36-year-old now has 7 GOAL50 victories, an unrivaled achievement, 2 times more than the No. 1 champion Cristiano Ronaldo. GOAL50 is the annual award ranked 50 best football players in the world in the last 12 months.

Until 2021, the final winners were decided by a team of experts from GOAL.
