Erling Haaland has fans marvelling AGAIN as ‘unstoppable’ Man City star scores ‘impossible’ goal to surpass the striker he was signed to replace in 143 fewer games against Southampton

Erling Haaland was hailed by Manchester City fans after scoring from a difficult  angle to open the scoring at home to Southampton.

Haaland held off the challenge of Southampton defender Jan Bednarek to put City in the lead after just five minutes.

In scoring, Haaland has now surpassed the goal tally of the striker that he was signed to replace.

One fan hailed Haaland as ‘unstoppable’ following his hugely impressive finish.

Meanwhile, another supporter added that the striker is a ‘specialist in scoring impossible goals’.

As reported by Squawka, Haaland has now scored more Premier League goals (74) than Gabriel Jesus (73).

Remarkably, Haaland has achieved the feat in 143 fewer games than Jesus.

Haaland signed for City in 2022, the same summer in which Jesus joined Arsenal. Jesus made his Premier League debut for City in January 2017.

Haaland has frequently been criticised for only scoring goals from close range but has now shown that he is capable of producing a variety of finishes.
