Love is Blind season 7 introduced viewers to single contestants who signed up for the social experiment to find love. As fans already know cast members developed a connection through emotional intimacy during their time in the pods. Once they were sure of who to choose and decided to get married, the couples would meet for the first time face to face.
Throughout the series, the couples who stepped into the real world navigated their newly formed bond while discussing the future. One of the couples who married in the season finale was Ashley and Tyler. However, this decision wasn’t easy for Ashley as she felt she didn’t get the “full picture.”
A few days before the wedding preparations began, Tyler told Ashley that he had donated his sp*rm to a friend and had kids. Fast forward to the reunion episode, the couple revealed they were still together despite the ups and downs in their relationship. According to an October 31, 2024, Tudum by Netflix article, Ashley said:
“[The experiment] challenged us to continue having the hard conversations, instead of just arguing. I’ve never been in such a healthy relationship.”
Love is Blind star Ashley reflects on her relationship with Tyler
Love is Blind contestant Ashley admitted that transitioning from their time in the pods to the real world was difficult. After getting married the couple learned more about one another as they started living together. Ashley shared she had to “learn how to pick and choose my battles,” she continued:
“Protecting us and enjoying this little bubble we’ve been in has been our main focus. The hardest transition for me was just starting a home together. Apparently it’s not all my way and I’ve had to learn how to pick and choose my battles.”
Addressing Tyler’s sp*rm donation and having two children, Ashley admitted to not having the “full picture” as Tyler had not discussed this with her before. As fans already know, Tyler informed Ashley about this once the wedding preparations had begun.
Now that the Love is Blind contestant has rewatched the episodes, she realized that Tyler wanted to keep his personal life off camera. She said that he was trying to “protect their identity,” Ashley said:
“However, I do now understand why he wanted to protect their identity and why it was important for him to see where things went with us first. Honestly, it’s just not a factor in our lives right now and if it ever does become one, we’ll tackle that together.”
Then, Tyler shared that it wasn’t possible for him to keep this information off-camera. He shared that he should have navigated the entire situation “a little bit better.” The Love is Blind star shared that nothing has happened between the two love birds since their marriage as they still plan on starting a family of their own. Tyler further mentioned:
“I don’t think there was a right time to discuss it because I wanted to keep it off-camera. But after talking with Ashley, there was no way that we could be ourselves on camera without discussing it. I just wish I navigated it a little bit better.”
All episodes of Love is Blind season 7 are available on Netflix. Fans can follow Ashley and Tyler on their official Instagram accounts to stay updated with their lives.
