Late on December 22, Luis Suarez officially joined Inter Miami to reunite with Messi, Busquets and Alba.
Luis Suarez officially reunited with his former Barcelona teammates with a 1-year contract when joining Inter Miami. At David Beckham’s soccer team, two-thirds of the MSN atomic trio, Messi and Suarez, will work together again on the American field.
“I am very happy and excited to take on this new challenge with Inter Miami. I can’t wait to start working to realize my dream of winning many titles with this team. I will dedicate myself to bringing joy to the wonderful fans of Inter Miami and to reunite with great friends and players” – Luis Suarez expressed when joining the American soccer team.
Club co-owner D. Beckham expressed his joy and raised expectations for this quality contract.
“He joins a team that inspires the next generation. We look forward to seeing him on the field with his old teammates and young players from our academy” – Beckham shared.
Before joining the Florida team, the 36-year-old striker had an extremely successful year with Gremio (Brazil). Playing for the Brazilian team, Suarez has scored 17 goals and 11 assists after 33 appearances in the national championship.
Besides Messi, Suarez also reunited with Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba. The Leagues Cup champions will start the new season on February 22, 2024 when they host Real Salt Lake on the opening day of MLS 2024.
Before that, coach Gerardo Martino’s team is expected to have pre-season friendly matches with Al-Nassr, Al-Hilal, Vissel Kobe and Newell’s Old Boys.
